Your Life Is Secure In The Father’s Hands

John 10:29My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.

Jesus is speaking about the disciples who were handed over to Jesus by the Father. The Bible says Jesus chose twelve disciples, but they were actually chosen by the Father. The Father was dwelling in Jesus and was doing all these works. Jesus was emphasising that His father was great, who had given these disciples to him.

The above verse is applicable to us as well. God the Father chose us in Christ even before the creation of the world and that Father is greater than all. No one can snatch the children of God out of the Fathers hands. The Father’s hands are so strong and nobody has enough strength to snatch any of them from the Father’s hands. As a parent, when my children were small, I’d clasp a coin very tightly in my hand and my daughter or son would try to take it out. With great effort, they’d open one finger and then the other. By then I’d close the first finger. No matter how much they tried, she/he couldn’t take the coin out of my hands. My hands are stronger than their little hands.

Jesus says, “My Father is greater than all, and nobody can snatch you out of His hands”. Your life is secure/ safe in the hands of God the Father.

In the future, if the devil whispers in your ears that your life is in danger, you are in perilous grounds or something bad is going to happen to you, you must confess with full assurance, “Mr. Devil, my life is secure in the hands of my Father”. This is why Jesus declared very clearly that ‘My Father, who gave them to Me is greater/ stronger and mightier than all.’

When a baby is in its own father’s hands, the baby is safe. There is no safer place than the Father’s hands.

Psalm 139:4,5 Before a word is on my tongue. you, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me.

This is a personal confession from David based on the various personal experiences and encounters he had with God. He had the wisdom and knowledge to write and record everything because of his continual association with the Almighty God. Out of that wisdom, David says, ‘before I speak out any word, Lord, you know it completely’. And he moves on to say God’s presence and His hands cover him everywhere. As we study the Bible we can understand that God’s hands come upon us or beneath us or sometimes it will even cover us. Sometimes, His hands will come behind and before us. We are covered by the mighty hands – the fingers and the palm of God. This is why Jesus says ‘My Father is greater and stranger than all’. Literally, nobody can snatch you out of My Father’s hands. The Father keeps His children for Himself (John 17) Jesus’s Father is our Father too (John 20:17).

Psalm 91:9-12 If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

Make it your slogan: “The Lord is my refuge!”  To those who say this :No harm will overtake them, no disaster will come near their tent.  Another security for us: He will command  his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. Usually in the world, only the VVIP category of people will have security guards. But even if you are a tiny child of God,  He will command  His angels to guard you. They will lift you up in their hands so that will not strike your foot against a stone. God provides that kind of a security or safety for you.

Psalm 91:14-16  “Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”

According to Hebrews 1:14, the angels of God are ministering spirits sent to serve those who inherit salvation. They are our security guards. These angels, though invisible, are a reality.

Remember: You are in the hands of God Almighty. Nobody can snatch you out of His hands. Your life is safe. At the same time, God has assigned a lot of angels to guard you. Let’s thank our Father for His wonderful protection. Hallelujah!
