12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—
Those who accept the Lord Jesus Christ as the Son of the Father, are in turn accepted as sons and daughters of God.
44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
This scriptural passage is an example of how some are not referred to as God’s children but instead they can be called the children of the devil.
26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith,
Our belief in the Lord Jesus is what makes us all children of God.
4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
Everything that happens and has happened is because of His lavish, extravagant and amazing love for us.we are saved today because we are all children of God. In our spirit, we have been elevated from the earthly realms to the heavenly realms. This happens all due to the foundation of the lavish love of the Father.
3 who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities.
11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his love for those who fear him;
12 as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
13 As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;
14 for he knows how we are formed,
He remembers that we are dust.
This Psalm is describing the nature of the Father and the nature of His love. It describes what He does for us and how He forgives all our sins, not just one or two. God has compassion on you because you are His own child.
4 When Christ, who is your[a] life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
1 Thessalonians 4:16
16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
If you go through the pages of the New Testament, there are more than 300 references made to Lord Jesus’ return. Today we see the Lord Jesus by faith.
29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.
We are all predestined by the Father so that we will be like His Son, the Lord Jesus.
We have to be like Him and He is pure and holy. We have to go through the sanctification process which is the cleansing process for us. The Father’s love is preparing us each moment to be more like Him!
